I'm an Executive member at the Gender Equity Initiative in Global Surgery (GEIGS), and past Advocacy Lead at GEIGS & Research Co-Lead at GEIGS LATAM.

I am a shoulder and elbow surgeon at Hospital Universitario Fundacion Santa Fe de Bogota. I am the youngest staff member and I trained in the hospital I work now as faculty. I am a gay man and growing and training in a male-dominated residency with few diversity was a challenge. Right now, as a faculty I have seen how everyone has changed and is more open to diversity and I would to champion this cause for the present and upcoming generations of Orthopedic Surgeons.
