I’m an orthopedic surgeon and current doctoral researcher at RWTH Aachen University (Germany), with a clinical focus on revision hip arthroplasty and pelvic fractures. I’m passionate about digital innovation in education and recently began developing an AI-based platform to support orthopedic decision-making and training across global healthcare settings.

I am ST3 in the East Midlands (North). I have an interest in equality, diversity and inclusion in Orthopaedics and have previously been a mentor for the Social Mobility Foundation.

I'm currently an FY2 working in Scotland, I am going to apply for surgical training next year with the aim of a career in Trauma and Orthopaedics. Since deciding this I have had endless negativity and derogatory comments towards me about being too weak mentally and physically, too small, too nice and not right for orthopaedics. I'm passionate about making the career more diverse and tackling these issues.

I am a specialised orthopaedic surgeon working in the field of shoulder and elbow pathologies. I have been working as a doctor for 21 years, beeing in a leadership role now since 2018 as Chief surgeon in 3 hospitals in Berlin Germany. I am strongly dedicated to supoorting and uplifting female surgeons aswell as diverstiy in a still heavily male dominated surrounding. My motivation in beeing a member of IODA is to connect , learn and engage to other female and divers leaders around the globe and share and lift up individuals that are going through similar struggles. Also I strongly believe that diversity in orthopaedics greatly benefits patient care and broadens our ability to individualize medicine rather than narrow down to gender norm based templates.
